Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the EviBase website and platform (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you can agree on its behalf. The Service is for business and professional use, not consumers.

1. Who we are

EviBase is run by Angus Wayman, trading as EviBase, in the United Kingdom. To contact us, email hellobiobuild@gmail.com.

2. Free early access

EviBase is free and in early access. Features may change or contain errors, and the Service may be unavailable at times. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you first and you will not be charged unless you agree.

3. Your account

Give accurate information, keep your login secure, and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. Demo and guest sessions are for trying the product and may be reset at any time.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't: break the law or anyone's rights; upload personal data about patients or trial participants; upload material you have no right to use; try to access other users' data or disrupt or bypass the security of the Service; scrape it or use it to build a competing product; or share your access outside your organisation.

5. Your content and outputs

You keep all rights in what you upload ("Customer Content") and in the reports, summaries and data the Service generates for you ("Outputs"), subject to any third-party rights in the underlying sources. You give us permission to store and process your content, including by sending it to our AI and infrastructure providers, only so we can run the Service for you. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled.

The Service can search and process published literature (for example from PubMed). That material is usually protected by copyright or publisher terms, and you are responsible for making sure you are entitled to use it as you do.

6. AI outputs: check before you rely

EviBase uses AI, which can be wrong or incomplete. Outputs are decision support only. You must verify them against the source evidence before relying on them. EviBase does not give medical, clinical, regulatory or legal advice, and you are solely responsible for anything you submit to a regulator, notified body or other third party. "Audit-ready" means the evidence trail is traceable, not that any regulator or auditor will accept it.

7. Our intellectual property

We own the Service, including its software, design and branding. You may use it for your internal business purposes while these terms apply.

8. Warranties and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or goodwill, indirect or consequential loss, or loss from relying on Outputs without verification or from regulatory or audit decisions. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to £100.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time, and ask us to export your content first. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, if we suspect misuse or a security risk, or if we stop offering the Service.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will post the new version here, and tell account holders about material changes. Continuing to use the Service means you accept them. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your country says otherwise.
